### Recap: Last year's activities
In Apr 2023, hosted a [kick-off meeting](https://indico.cern.ch/event/1273894/). Fairly good attendance (~20 people):
```
*
*
* *
* *
* * *
* * * * * * * *
ATLAS LHCb BELLEII CMS FASER DUNE PANDA CERNEPDTDI
```
Although noted missing attendance from CMS.
People in particular expressed interest in 4D tracking & sustainability/efficient computing.

### Recap: Last year's activities
In Sept, hosted a [topical meeting on _Zero-Waste Computing with Performance Engineering_](https://indico.cern.ch/event/1320368/) by Ana-Lucia Varbanescu (performance engineer) and Stephen Swatman (PhD student on HP computing & HEP applications)
- Interesting, _very_ general overview presentations with good attendance: 38 people connected.
- Although missing some concrete demonstrations, learned about performance engineering as a discipline which was interesting in itself.

### Topic ideas for this year
Pursuing talk on 4D tracking, by following up on last year's thread with Belle II potential speakers. Planned a session of two talks: One detector specific, the other algorithm specific.
Have received responses and hoping to finally host this before summer!

### Topic ideas for this year
Other topic ideas we would like to (continue) pursue(ing)
* Sustainability/efficient computing: One LHCb talk in the pipeline!
* "Lessons learned" from new/upgraded experiments after 1-2 years of data-taking: e.g. LHCb, ALICE, FASER... Hoping that collaborators are interested enough in sharing their experiences.

### How to engage people?
Last year, were struggling to get reponse from invited speakers. People perhaps too busy for casual cross-correlaboration meetings.
Idea: Target PhD students instead
- More eager to show case their work, meet other people?
- For example invite students who just presented at poster sessions at computing/TDAQ conference.

# Thanks for listening!
